We absolutely love technology and we know most of our customers do, too. That’s why we have introduced – and the only company in North Somerset to do so – a ‘Tweet a Taxi’ service where you can book taxis using Twitter. With so many people having smartphones with internet access and in-built social networking applications, it seem sensible to use social networking to, well, network with companies and get the services you need and when you need them
How do I tweet a taxi?
1. Go to http://www.twitter.com/applecentralwsm/ (our Twitter profile) and follow us.
2. Once you have followed us, we will follow you back. This allows you to then send us Direct Messages (DM) to us.
3. As soon as you require a taxi, send us a DM with you phone number, required time, pickup point, name and destination, and we will despatch your taxi for you
It’s as simple as that.
What’s the advantages of tweeting rather than just calling you?
1. It’s completely free (great for when you are in the middle of nowhere and have no credit)
2. You can do it wherever you want, even in a very loud nightclub. (Why go outside in the cold just to book your taxi when you can finish your drink inside and wait for our driver to call you?)
3. You don’t have to wait on the phone when it’s busy
4. No chance of misunderstandings when there is a lot of noise in the background
5. And, it’s just cool. Social networking is changing the world, so why not embrace it and use it to its advantage?
Love it !!! Have told all my mates in Weston and we are all NERDS so all have twitter on our phones and stuff, we will DEFINITELY be using you on the weekends out on the lash… NO MORE GOING OUTSIDE WITH THE SMOKERS TRYING TO CALL A CAB !!
